Your Own First 90 Days

Plans your first 90 days in a new role: who to meet, what to learn, one early win, what to say at 30, 60, 90.

For: Anyone starting a new job or a new role inside their company
You get: A dated plan: the meetings and the three questions, the early win, and what you say at day 30, 60 and 90

Different: Written from the new starter's side: each meeting by what you need from that person, one win sized to finish by day 45, and your lines for day 30, 60 and 90.

New

When to use it

The user is about to start, or has just started, a new job or a new role inside their company. They want a plan that is theirs: who to meet and why, what to learn before touching anything, which early result to go for, and what to say to their boss at each checkpoint so the boss sees progress without being asked to look. One plan, dated from the start date.

Not for: a manager planning a new hire's onboarding (use the onboarding skills), a job search, or the first day's logistics. If the user has not started and knows almost nothing about the team yet, the plan is built on what they know and marks the rest as questions for week one.

What it asks you

Ask for these in one message, numbered:

  1. The role, the start date, and whether it is a new company or a move inside one.
  2. The boss: title, what they said matters in the interviews or the offer conversation, in their words.
  3. The team: how many people, their roles, anyone who wanted this job or did it before.
  4. Who the role serves inside the company (internal customers) and outside it, as far as they know.
  5. Problems they have already heard about, and who told them.
  6. Anything they are tempted to change on day one.
  7. Any checkpoint already set: a probation review, a 30-day meeting, a board date.

Work from what comes back. One follow-up where the boss's priorities are vague ("make things run better" becomes "which thing, measured how?"). Where the user does not know a name or a problem, the plan carries a question for week one instead of a guess. Never invent a stakeholder, a problem, a figure or a quote from the boss.

What comes back

Plain text. Headings in capitals.

THE MEASURE What the boss said matters, in their words, and the measure the plan is judged on. Or the day-one question that will get it.

MEETINGS, WEEKS 1 TO 4 Grouped by kind of person. Each line: who, what you need to leave with, by which week. The three questions, plus each person's extra question.

LEARN BEFORE CHANGING What to understand by day 30, and the holding list of things you are tempted to change, each with a revisit date.

THE EARLY WIN The win, the four tests passed, the steps with dates to day 45, how the boss will see the result by day 60.

WHAT YOU SAY Day 30, Day 60, Day 90: three sentences each, first person, ready to say.

WATCH LIST Signals and the one action for each.

QUESTIONS Names, problems and dates to find out in week one.

Next: one line naming the single most useful next step.

What is in the download

  • 00_START_HERE.pdf: the two-minute set-up for each AI.
  • 1 - Skill: new-role-90-day-plan.zip, one upload to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or Microsoft 365 Copilot. It switches on by itself when this job comes up.
  • 2 - Text file for any AI: the same Move as one .txt. Attach it to any chat, on any plan, and type "Follow this file".

It drafts, you read and send. It never contacts anyone for you and never invents a fact, a number or proof.

A Move is a single play. The whole function in a box is Employee Onboarding Planner, an agent pack with up to 8 skills.

Questions

What is a Move?

One task done with AI that most people in your job do not know is possible, packaged as one skill. One input, one result, one sitting. It is not a prompt tip and not a whole agent pack.

Why is it free for 48 hours?

Every new Move is free for its first 48 hours so you can try it and vote. After that it is $9 on its own, or part of the Lifetime Pass.

What does the Lifetime Pass include?

Every Move on the board today in one download, and every Move added later, which appear on your order page as they land. Paid once. The price rises as the board grows.

How does the ranking work?

Votes, with recent votes counting more, on top of the rank each Move launched with. Counts show from 10 votes. Nothing is seeded.

Does it send anything for me?

No. It writes and you read and send. It never invents a fact, a number or proof.
